​The following resources provide crisis support, education, advocacy, tutoring, and coaching related to mental health, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, dyslexia, and executive functioning.

​Mental Health Crisis Support

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline 
Free, confidential support is available for anyone experiencing suicidal thoughts, emotional distress, a mental health crisis, or a substance-use crisis. You may also contact 988 if you are worried about someone else.

Emergency Services
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department when there is an immediate threat to someone’s life or safety, a suicide attempt is occurring, or urgent medical attention is needed.​
Northwest Connections Crisis Services - Dunn and Eau Claire Counties 
Northwest Connections provides crisis assessment, telephone support, safety planning, referrals, and mobile crisis response for residents of Dunn and Eau Claire Counties.

Hennepin County Family Response and Stabilization Services
This service provides immediate support for Hennepin County children and adolescents experiencing emotional or behavioral distress and offers assistance to their caregivers.

CDC ADHD Resources
The CDC provides research-based information about ADHD symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, medication, behavior therapy, and school support.

CHADD
CHADD provides evidence-based ADHD education, webinars, support groups, local chapters, and a professional directory for children, adults, parents, and educators.

Dr. Russell A. Barkley
Dr. Russell Barkley is an internationally recognized ADHD researcher. His website offers science-based videos, research updates, fact sheets, books, and information about ADHD and executive functioning.

Understood offers free, expert-reviewed resources about ADHD, executive functioning, learning differences, school accommodations, 504 plans, and Individualized Education Programs.

ADHD Support at School
Students with ADHD may qualify for classroom accommodations, a Section 504 plan, or special education services through an Individualized Education Program.

PACER provides free advocacy, workshops, and guidance for Minnesota families of children and young adults with disabilities. It can help families understand evaluations, IEPs, 504 plans, assistive technology, and educational rights.

WI FACETS helps Wisconsin families understand special education, school evaluations, IEPs, disability rights, and available school services.

Children’s Dyslexia Center of Upper Wisconsin
The Children’s Dyslexia Center provides individualized, structured, multisensory reading instruction/tutoring for children with dyslexia. Tutoring is offered at no cost to eligible families.

Julie Flikke is a certified Orton-Gillingham reading specialist who provides individualized reading instruction for children and adults.

Bright Star Tutoring
Bright Star Tutoring provides individualized reading and spelling instruction for students with dyslexia and other literacy challenges using an Orton-Gillingham-based approach.

Dana Kay Brenner Tutoring
Dana Kay Brenner is a Certified Academic Language Therapist and Certified Dyslexia Therapist who provides individualized reading, spelling, and written-language intervention.

School Evaluations
Children with suspected learning disabilities may qualify for a school evaluation, an Individualized Education Program, or a Section 504 plan.
